Cobras Tied for Eighth After Day One of Cutter Creek Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team fired an opening round team score of 341 on Monday (Sept. 7) at the Cutter Creek Invitational. 

Junior Taylor Gaskins led the way for the Cobras with a round of 80 on day one. She is in a tie for 17th place going into the final 18 holes. Ana Orlov signed off on a round of 81 in her collegiate debut which leaves her in a tie for 22nd position. Tensley Clowser was next with an opening round score of 88. Bella Harris and Margaret Mills rounded out the Coker traveling five with 18-hole scores of 92 and 94.

Converse College leads the way after posting a team score of 307 on day one. Individually, Marley Felthousen of Converse and Meghan Holbrooks of Pfeiffer University are atop the leaderboard after firing rounds of 73.

The Cobras begin their final 18 holes tomorrow morning (Sept. 8) at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.
