Coker Places Thirteenth at Wingate Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team finished in 13th place at the Wingate Invitational after a final round team score of 343 on Tuesday (Mar. 24) leading to a tournament score of 682.

The trio of Angela Luna, Taylor Demby and Amber Harman led the way for the Navy and Yellow. Luna finished with a 36-hole score of 165 after a final round 84. Demby closed the tournament with a final round of 82 resulting in a tournament score of 167. Harman signed off on a final round 90 which left her with a two day score of 169. Tensley Clowser and Taylor Gaskins carded final rounds of 87 and 93 in route to scores of 181 and 189 for the tournament.

Limestone College took home the team title after shooting a team score of 625 for the two days. Maddisen Cox of Converse College was the individual champion shooting rounds of 78 and 72 on her way to a 150 tournament total.

The Cobras will be back on the course on March 30 for the Cherokee Valley Invitational in Travelers Rest, S.C.
