Coker Women’s Golf Gears Up for Etowah Intercollegiate

Etowah, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team will be teeing it up Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 22-23) at the Etowah Intercollegiate hosted by Brevard College and Lincoln Memorial University.

The traveling five for the Cobras will be freshman Angela Luna, junior Taylor Demby, senior Mallory Thompkins, sophomore Taylor Gaskins and junior Tensley Clowser.  

Luna leads the team with a 79 scoring average on the season after a top 25 finish in her collegiate debut at the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate. Demby comes in with an 80.5 scoring average which included a final round 74 in the season opener. Thompkins looks to continue her steady play as she has an 81.5 season scoring average. Gaskins checks in with an 89 scoring. Clowser will be making her season debut after an 86 scoring average last season.

The Navy and Yellow are one of five SAC teams making the trip to Etowah Valley Golf Club. Host schools Brevard and Lincoln Memorial will be competing along with Carson Newman and Newberry.

Tee times for the first 18-holes will begin Monday morning at the Etowah Valley Golf Club in Etowah, N.C.
