TILLMAN NAMED COKER'S MARCH ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
SHE EARNS THIRD AOTM AWARD IN A ROW, FOURTH IN FIVE MONTHS
Hartsville, SC - No surprises here - the March 2025 Coker Athletics Athlete of the Month is none other than Shawnteanna Tillman!
It was a stellar month for both herself and Coker Women's Basketball, as Tillman was the centerpiece of a team that was the number one seed in the SAC Tournament, made the SAC Final, qualified for their first-ever NCAA tournament, and won the Southeast Regional tournament to qualify for the program's first Elite Eight. She was named First-Team All-SAC, SAC Player of the Year, SAC All-Tournament Team, and Regional Tournament MVP during this amazing stretch.
In terms of statistics, Tillman averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game during the month of March. This included a 31-point game in their SAC Quarterfinal win against Limestone and a 25-point game in the SAC Final against Anderson. She has received this honor in back-to-back-to-back months (January, February, and now March) and also received it in November to earn four of these awards in five months.
