COKER REMAINS IN TOP 15 NATIONALLY, SITS AT 12TH IN LATEST WBCA RANKINGS
Coker sits just one win away from cementing the best season in program history
Lilburn, GA - Another week in the top 15 for the Cobras! Your Coker Women's Basketball team remained the 12th-best team in all of Division II, according to the WBCA rankings released this afternoon.
With a 19-1 record and a 15-1 mark in conference play, the Cobras are firmly the best team in the South Atlantic Conference. They lead the next-best team (Wingate) by three games (12-4 SAC Record). The lone blemish on their record was just a three-point loss to the Trojans of Anderson, and that loss was later avenged here in Hartsville with a four-point revenge victory.
That mark of 19 wins also has deeper implications - it currently sits tied with the most wins in program history (2003-04 season). Tomorrow, they will take on the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne with a shot at history. If this season has been any implication so far, Coach DeVore and her squad aren't just worried about a number in the record books - they're worried about a SAC title and beyond.
Make sure that you are here inside the DeLoach Center for tomorrow's match-up with LR. If you are unable to be there, make sure to catch them live on the FloSports Network at 5:30 PM ET!
