WOMEN'S BASKETBALL 3-0 IN 2025, TAKES CARE OF RAILSPLITTERS
Harrogate, TN - The Cobras held on to a first-half lead to take a road victory today against the Railspitters of Lincoln Memorial.
The story was truly told on the boards today, with the Cobras securing a whopping 17 offensive rebounds to the Railsplitters' 9 to gain the advantage in second-chance points. It helped build what was a 22-point lead early in the fourth quarter.
The rest of the fourth was a quarter to forget, but luckily, the Cobras had built a comfortable cushion and held off a Railsplitter comeback to take the 62-55 victory in Harrogate.
Dasia Ferguson led the Cobras with 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Others in double figures included Mya Wasswa (12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), Kamari Thompson (10 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks) and Shawnteanna Tillman (10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists).
The Cobras will come back home on Wednesday to face off against the Catawba Indians. That contest will tip off at 5:30 PM ET in the DeLoach Center.
