Women's Basketball Adds Ellis to 2019-20 Squad

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College head women's basketball coach Shannon Johnson has announced the signing of Jordan Ellis (Wilkesboro, N.C.).

"We are very excited Jordan will join our family next season", said Johnson. Jordan is an all around player, she can create for others, and shoot the ball extremely well and we are looking for Jordan to make an immediate impact to our team. Her basketball IQ is very high and she will make others better while playing together."

Ellis, a guard out of Wilesboro, North Carolina, is a three-sport athlete at Statesville Christian where she competes in basketball, softball, and volleyball. On the court, Ellis averages 15.7 points per game while also putting up 7.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest. The 5-9 guard was a two-time SPAA All-Conference and First Team All-County selection along with being named to the 2018 Bob Jones University All-Tournament Team. Ellis, a 1000-point scorer, was the runner-up for the Iredell County Player of the Year honor last season and has been nominated for the award once again this year.

She is the daughter of Kim and Tony Ellis.
