Women's Basketball Drops Midweek Tilt at Wingate

WINGATE, N.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team fell on the road at Wingate University on Wednesday (Jan. 30) night 90-62. 

The Cobras were led in scoring by the freshman duo of Haliyah Sumter and Ashauntee Nelson with 14 and 12 points, respectively. Hayley Kropp hit double figures for the eighth time this season with 10 points on the night. Hope Richardson notched eight points, while fellow freshman Saquita Joyner finished with six points. Shay Jackson added four points, Amanda Cherry and Jalah Horton had three points, and Erin Houser added a pair of points. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 2) when they welcome Mars Hill to Hartsville on homecoming at 2:00 PM.
