Women's Basketball Drops Hard Fought Game With Mount Olive

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team dropped a tough non-conference matchup with the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday (Dec. 4) at home 62-52.

Leading the Cobras was Haliyah Sumter with 11 points and three assists, and fellow freshman Saquita Joyner reached double figures for the second straight game with 10 points and also adding seven rebounds, three steals, and a pair of asssists. Erin Houser was not far behind with nine points and four rebounds, while Hope Richardson finished just shy of a double double with eight points and eight rebounds. Hayley Kropp notched five points and the trio of Amanda Cherry, Elizabeth Kincaid, and Shay Jackson each recorded three points. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Dec. 8) when they travel to Mars Hill for a South Atlantic Conference tilt starting at 2:00 PM.
