HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team dropped its South Atlantic Conference opener to Wingate 76-42 on Wednesday (Nov. 28) night.

Shay Jackson was the leading scorer for the Cobras with nine points, while Erin Houser picked up eight points and pulled down seven rebounds. Raya Coley knocked down a pair of threes to give her six points. Haliyah Sumter and Saquita Joyner each tallied four points, while Avahna Baker, Amanda Cherry, and Janell Horton recorded three points, while Jalah Horton notched two points. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Dec. 1) when they travel to SAC foe Lincoln Memorial, with tip-off set for 2:00 PM.
