Cobras Drop Non-Conference Contest at Southern Wesleyan

CENTRAL, S.C. - The Coker College women's basketball team dropped a close non-conference contest at Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday (Nov. 20) by a final score of 87-83.

Erin Houser put on a show, recording a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Freshmen Saquita Joyner and Hope Richardson also reached double figures in scoring with 16 and 10 points, respectively. Ashauntee Nelson, Elizabeth Kincaid, and Hannah Stull each tallied six points, while Kincaid also recorded six rebounds and five assists. Haliyah Sumter tallied five points and Shay Jackson chipped in with four points and five rebounds. Hayley Kropp and Amanda Cherry recorded three and two points, respectively, while Aloni McFarland notched four rebounds and four assists.

The Cobras will return to the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center for their next game on Wednesday (Nov. 28) for a conference game with Wingate at 6:00 PM.
