Cobras Take on Indians in Play 4 Kay Game

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will host the Catawba College Indians tomorrow (Feb. 14) night in South Atlantic Conference action at 6 p.m. The Cobras will be taking on the Indians in the Play 4 Kay game. The event will have a survivor walk between the end of the women's game and start of the men's game, and will include a silent auction. In addition, pink Hoops 4 Hope shirts will be for sale and donations will be accepted for the Play 4 Kay foundation. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow's contest with three players averaging ten or more points per game. Hayley Kropp leads Coker averaging 11.3 points per game. Erin Houser trails Kropp with 10.3 points per game and is closely followed by Janea Williams with 10.0 points per game.  

On the defensive end, Williams continues to anchor the Navy and Gold with a team-leading 9.1 rebounds per game. Williams is tied for first in the SAC with 2.6 blocks per game. Her season marks in rebounds are good for second in the SAC.

Catawba enters tomorrow's game with a 12-11 overall record that includes a 10-6 record in SAC play. Terri Rogers leads the Catawba Indians offensively, averaging 17.4 points per game. 

As mentioned, opening tip is set for 6 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
