ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker forward Janea Williams has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 29-Feb. 4, the League announced today.

Williams, a senior from Pinehurst, N.C., led the Cobras to a pair of wins over Queens and Mars Hill last week. She poured in a career-high 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds with eight blocks in Coker's 70-63 overtime victory over Queens. Williams then scored 14 points with 13 boards and three blocks in the Cobras' 75-65 win over Mars Hill. 

For the week, Williams averaged a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds per game. She also averaged 5.5 blocks per game.   

Williams currently is second in the SAC in rebounds per game with 8.9 and second in the conference in blocks with 2.6 per game. 

This is Wiliams' first Player of the Week selection this year.
