Cobras Fall on the Road to Pioneers

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Coker College women's basketball team fell to the Tusculum College Pioneers 88-77 on Wednesday (Dec. 13) evening in South Atlantic Conference action. 

Coker trailed Tusculum in the fourth quarter, and rallied back to cut the lead to just seven with 3:35 remaining.  The Pioneers responded with a final run to put the game away and pull out the victory.

Iresha Cooper led the way for the Navy and Gold with a double-double, pouring in 10 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals. Hayley Kropp added 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists for the Navy and Gold.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Dec. 16) when they take on Mars Hill in another South Atlantic Conference contest. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m in the DeLoach Center.
