ELON, N.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team fell to the Elon University Phoenix, a member of the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Association, Monday (Nov. 27) night in an exhibition contest.
Shay Jackson led the way for the Navy and Gold, pouring in 12 points with a 2-3 mark from beyond the three-point arch. Sydney Shull chipped in 10 points, while Hayley Kropp recorded nine points off the bench. Iresha Cooper pulled down a team-best four rebounds and added eight points on the offensive end.
The Cobras will take the court again when they open up South Atlantic Conference play against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in the DeLoach Center on Wednesday (Nov. 29) evening. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
