Coker Travels to Elon for Monday Night Exhibition

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will travel to Division I member Elon University to take on the Phoenix on Monday (Nov. 27) night in an exhibition game. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m. Live stats and video for the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com. 

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow's game with a balanced attack that includes four players averaging eight or more points per game. Erin Houser leads Coker with 9.0 points per game, while Hayley Kropp and Janea Williams trail Houser with 8.8 points per game. Iresha Cooper is the final Cobra averaging eight or more points on the year with 8.4 per game. 

On the defensive end, Williams has anchored the Navy and Gold with a team-leading 10 rebounds per game, which leads the South Atlantic Conference. Williams also leads Coker in blocks with 2.2 per game. In addition, Kropp has contributed on the defensive end, averaging a team-high 1.4 steals per game. 

Elon enters tomorrow's contest with a 5-1 record. Shay Burnett and Ra'Shika White lead the Phoenix with 15 points per game.
