Cobras Host Broncos in Home Opener

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will host the Fayetteville State University Broncos on Saturday (Nov. 18) afternoon in their home opener at 2 p.m. Live stats and video for the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com. 

The Navy and Gold head into tomorrow's game with two players averaging ten points or more on the year. Erin Houser leads Coker with 10.3 points per game, while Hayley Kropp trails Houser with 10 points per game. On the defensive end, Janea Williams has anchored the Cobras with a team-leading 10 rebounds per game and three blocks per game. Iresha Cooper is another Cobra to watch, averaging 9.7 points per game and bringing down 6.7 rebounds per game. 

Fayetteville St. enters tomorrow's game with a 1-1 record. The Broncos fell to UNC-Pembroke in their season opener by a 72-65 score and defeated South Atlantic Conference member Catawba 69-46. Jamesha Mosley leads the Broncos with 14.5 points per game. 

As mentioned, opening tip is set for 2 p.m. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free to all Coker faculty, staff, and students.
