HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Taiylar DeMoss has signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Coker College Cobras, head coach Shannon Johnson announced today.

DeMoss comes to Hartsville from Irmo High School where she ran track, played volleyball and played basketball for the Yellow Jackets. On the court, she played varsity for all four years, and was a three-year starter.

In the classroom, she was a three-year member of the National Honor Society. 

"We're excited about signing an athletic guard in Taiylar," said Johnson. "She's very versatile on both ends of the floor and will be able to play the No. 2 and No. 3 spots for us. Coming from Irmo High School, playing for Monica Williams, she is very well-schooled in the fundamentals. We will look to her as more of a defensive specialist," said Johnson.

The Columbia, S.C. native is the daughter of Lachresha and Orlando DeMoss, and plans to study biology. Her mother was a college basketball player, and her father a college baseball player. She has one brother Anthony Dilligard, who played baseball at Texas Southern University.

DeMoss becomes another piece of Johnson's 2017-18 recruiting class.
