Cobras Down Bears in Play 4 Kay Game

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's basketball took care of business in its fourth annual Play 4 Kay game on Wednesday (Feb. 10) getting a 72-61 win over Lenoir-Rhyne.

Morgan Williams's game-high 16 points powered the Cobras offensively, aided by a 15-point effort from Jazz Green and 11 points from Kiara Shoats.

The Cobras trailed 13-7 after one quarter but then outscored the Bears 13-4 in the second to take a 20-17 lead at the half. That lead would stretch to 40-33 going to the final quarter behind seven points in the frame from Green and six from Williams. The home team would pull away in the fourth, outscoring the visitors 22-16 to notch their eighth South Atlantic Conference win.

The Cobras will hit the hardwood again on Saturday (Feb. 13) when they travel to Tusculum. Tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
