Cobras to Take on Bears in Crucial SAC Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will be back in the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center on Wednesday (Feb. 25) for a South Atlantic Conference matchup with the visiting Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears. Live stats and broadcast will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras pulled-out a 64-58 road win earlier this month over the Bears.

The Navy and Yellow are led by Tanesha Stenson. She ranks in the top eight in the SAC in points per game with 14.4 points, rebounds per game with 7.4 rebounds and assists per game with three assists per game. Kelley Godbout and Hailey Yohn are averaging 8.4 and 8.2 points per game and are each coming off double-digit point performances on the road at Anderson University.

The Bears travel to Hartsville with a 9-15 overall and an 8-12 in conference record. Jazmine Charles, who is averaging 16.5 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds, leads the Bears.

Coker will also be hosting First Responders Appreciation Night on Wednesday. First-response personnel such as fire, police, and emergency medical service workers, and their families, are invited to the men's and women's basketball games and will receive free admission.

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
