ANDERSON, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team fell 70-63 to regionally ranked No. 3 Anderson University on Saturday (Feb. 21) afternoon.

Coker would trail the Trojans at half, 38-35. A Kelley Godbout three-pointer out of the break would knot the game at 38-all, but Anderson would counter with a 5-0 run of its own. The 5-0 run would ultimately be the difference in the game as the two teams played evenly the remainder of the game. Anderson would make clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the 70-63 victory.

Godbout would lead the Cobras with 17 points and four rebounds, while Hailey Yohn chipped in 15 points and two steals. Tanesha Stenson rounded out the Cobras in double figures with 11 points.

The Cobras will be back in action on Wednesday (Feb. 25) when they faceoff with the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. start in the DeLoach Center.
