Cobras to Host Railsplitters in SAC Showdown

Hartsville, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday (Jan. 31) to take on the visiting Lincoln Memorial University Railspitters. Live stats and broadcast available at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker will be looking for its sixth home win on the season and a repeat of last season's 69-60 home victory over LMU.

The Navy and Yellow are led on both ends of the floor by Tanesha Stenson who ranks in the top seven in various South Atlantic Conference statistical categories. She is fourth in three-point shooting percentage (38.3 percent), sixth in points per game (13.9), seventh in rebounds per game (7.8) and seventh in assists per game (3.1). Classmates Kelley Godbout, Hailey Yohn and Kiara Shoats are all in the top 50 of the SAC in points per game averaging 8.3, 7.3 and 7.1 points, respectively.

The Railsplitters travel to Hartsville sporting an 11-8 overall and an 8-5 in conference record. They are led by the quartet of Stephanie Smith, Aisjah Lee, Kiara Rawls and Megan Pittman. Smith, Lee and Rawls are all averaging over 11 points per game, while Pittman is averaging 9.9 points per game to go along with 9.2 rebounds per game. Smith is also pulling down 8.5 rebounds per game.

Game time is set for 2 p.m. with the doors of the DeLoach Center opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
