Cobras Eyeing Fourth Straight Win Versus Tornados

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team is back at home on Saturday (Jan. 3) to take on the visiting Brevard College Tornados in a South Atlantic Conference matchup starting at 2 p.m. Live stats and broadcast will available via www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras closed out the 2014 calendar year with three straight double-digit victories. Coker swept Brevard last season, including a 78-51 home victory.

The Navy and Yellow are led by seniors Tanesha Stenson and Kelley Godbout. Stenson has been the catalyst on both ends of the floor with team highs in points (14.4) and rebounds (8.3), which both rank in the top eight of the SAC. Godbout comes into Saturday's matchup averaging 11.5 points per game and shooting 45.6 percent from the field, which is eighth-best in the SAC.

The Tornados travel to Hartsville with a 2-6 overall and a 1-4 in conference record after back-to-back wins over Queens University of Charlotte and Converse College. Brevard is led by guards Madison Lenox and Katie Williams, who are averaging 13.1 and 11.7 points per game, respectively.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 3) at the DeLoach Center with doors opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
