Coker Women’s Basketball Looking to Dethrone Royals

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team will return to the friendly confines of the DeLoach Center to take on the Queens University of Charlotte Royals in South Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday (Nov. 25) night. Live stats and broadcast will be available via www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras have emerged victorious in four of the last five matchups against Queens.

The Navy and Yellow are led by seniors Tanesha Stenson and Kelley Godbout. Stenson is averaging 15 points a game so far this season, which is eighth best in the South Atlantic Conference. She is also pulling down a team-high seven rebounds per game. Godbout comes in averaging 11.5 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds per game.

The Royals travel to Hartsville with an 0-4 overall record and 0-2 mark in conference play. Queens' most recent loss was a 52-41 setback to Lincoln Memorial. They are led by senior forward Lacey Singletary who is averaging 10.5 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. , with the men's game following immediately afterwards at 8 p.m. Doors of the DeLoach Center will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
