Coker Women's Basketball Inks Three for 2014-15

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's basketball coach Jenny Finora announced the addition of three players to the 2014-15 recruiting class today. Sydney Shull, Marie Rothrock and Kiara Shoats will join the Cobras beginning in the fall of 2014.

"The objective every season is to bring in players that will contribute on and off the court," said Finora. "I believe this group of ladies will do just that and continue the success our program has seen over the last few years."

Shull, a guard, comes to Coker from Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, S.C., where she averaged over 10 points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals for the Silver Foxes. Shull is a three-time class 4A state champion, three-time all-state selection, 2013 all-region selection and 2014 Region 5-4A Player of the Year.

Sydney is the daughter of Wyman and Janice Shull.

Rothrock is a guard from Corydon Central High School in Corydon, Ind. She was a two-sport athlete in basketball and golf. In basketball she averaged over 11 points per game, was team MVP and a two-time all-conference selection.

Marie is the daughter of Matt and Tammy Rothrock.

Shoats, a guard, transferred from Broward Community College in Florida. Shoats is originally from Hollywood, Fla., where she attended South Broward High School and was named the 2011 Big 8 tournament MVP.
