Cobras Set to Host Lenoir-Rhyne in SAC Stanza

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team will return home to hit the hardwood against Lenoir-Rhyne in another exciting SAC matchup this Wednesday (Feb. 5).  A live video webcast of the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

Wednesday's game will feature two of the South Atlantic Conference's top teams.  Lenoir-Rhyne is currently second in the league with a conference record of 10-4, while Coker is tied for fourth at 8-6.

Coker is retuning home after a two game road stint at Wingate and Lincoln Memorial.  In their most recent competition, they defeated the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial in a close 58-55 competition.

Leading the way for the Navy and Yellow in those games was Tanesha Stenson and Hailey Yohn.  Stenson dropped 12 points against Lincoln Memorial, while Yohn netted 17 at Wingate.  The junior guard duo has lead the Cobras in scoring all season long with Stenson averaging 15.1 points per game and Yohn at 10.3.

The Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne are coming off a 68-57 win over Brevard in their most recent competition.  LRU is led by juniors Jazmine Charles and Jenni Gust.  Charles leads the team in scoring with 19.4 points per game, followed by Gust with 12.5.

The Cobras will tip-off at 6:00 p.m., followed by the men's game at 8:00.  Tickets for the game can be purchased at the door for $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and are free to all Coker students, faculty, and staff.  It will also be Hartsville High Night, with all Hartsville High students, faculty, and staff receiving free admission to the games with proper school ID.
