HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team will hit the hardwood this Saturday (Dec. 21) to face GRU Augusta in a non conference matchup. A live video webcast of the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
Coker (5-3) will be looking to bounce back from a tough 57-54 loss last Saturday (Dec. 14) against Mars Hill. Junior guard Hailey Yohn led that competition with 18 points for the Cobras.
Along with Yohn, the Cobras will also be looking for Tanesha Stenson to be a factor on the offensive end. Stenson leads the team in scoring with 15.6 points per game, followed by Yohn with 12.2.
GRU Augusta (5-3) is coming off a 65-60 win over Montevallo in their most recent competition. Leading the way for the Jaguars is Jemimah Ashby and Brooke McCants who average 13.8 and 10 points per game, respectively.
Game time is slatted for a 2:00 p.m. start. Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased at the door for $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free to all Coker students, faculty, and staff.
