Cobras Host Railsplitters in SAC Showdown

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team will return to the Timberlake-Lawton Gymnasium for a South Atlantic Conference showdown with the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday (Dec. 7). The game is set for a 2 p.m. tip, and will be broadcast live online at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras enter the contest 4-2 overall and 2-1 in SAC play. Leading the charge for Coker is the duo of Tanesha Stenson and Hailey Yohn.  Stenson leads the squad in both scoring and rebounding with 15.8 points and 7.8 boards per game, while Yohn is chipping in 11.7 points per game and pulling down 4.2 boards.

Lincoln Memorial comes to Hartsville sporting a 4-2 overall mark and 3-1 conference record. In their most recent contest the Railsplitters lost to SAC foe Newberry College 56-48. Lincoln Memorial is led by Aisjah Roan and MaRanda Boddie who average 13.3 and 11 points per game, respectively.

Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased at the door for $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free to all Coker students, faculty, and staff.  Saturday's game is also YMCA day.  All YMCA members get in free with their YMCA membership card.
