Coker Falls to Limestone, 91-62

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Coker women's basketball team lost 91-62 in a Conference Carolinas match against Limestone (3-0) on Saturday (Nov. 17) night.  The Cobras are now 2-1 on the season.  

Amber Lau had a game high 20-points for the Cobras.  Lau also pulled down 13 rebounds, and shot 77-percent (7-of-9) from the charity stripe. 

The Saints' offense started off quickly and took a 21-7 lead only seven minutes into the game.  The Cobras battled back and were only down seven points, but Limestones' offense shot nearly 53-percent from the floor and was able to take a 48-26 lead into the locker room.

The second half proved to be a struggle for Coker as they shot only 36-percent from the floor, and 20-percent from three point range.

Angie Lawrence and Jasmine Evans also hit double-digit points for the Cobras, with Lawrence scoring 14, and Evans dropping 13. 

Coker will look to bounce back on Tuesday, November 17 as they travel to face Converse in a Conference Carolinas match.  The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
