Lilly Leads Cobras at South Atlantic Conference Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Coker College men's indoor track and field team capped off a strong season at the South Atlantic Conference championships this weekend (Feb. 23-24).

Sage Lilly was the star for the Cobras, grabbing second place in the 400-meter dash while posting the second-fastest time in school history at 49.83. Lilly set the record in the same event just last week at the USC Open.

The 4x400 relay team, consisting of Mahari Greene, Murishi Irankunda, Jarrell Muford, and Brandon Mullins then took second place, also posting the second-fastest time in school history at 3:23.02.

The SAC Championships marked the end of the indoor track season, but the outdoor season begins March 16th at the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
