Cobras Stride into the Raleigh Relays

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's track and field team will travel to Raleigh, N.C. to contend in the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29. Results from the meet can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com

Last week at the Weems Baskin Invitational (March 23-24), Jarrell Mumford, Brandon Mullins Tony McElveen Jr., and Jacob Chebii all performed well for Coker.

Mumford broke the Navy and Gold record in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line in 10.80 seconds. McElveen Jr. wasn't far behind, securing the second-fastest time in the program's existence with a run of 10.84 seconds. Mumford also ran in the 400-meter race finishing with a runner-up time of 49.83 seconds.

Mullins nearly clipped the best mark in the men's 800-meter open with a time of 1:54.20, the second-best time for the Cobras.

Kace Faulkner competed in the hammer throw, launching for a distance of 122' 11", good for second all-time for the Cobras.

The Raleigh Relays will begin on Friday, March 30 and will wrap up on Saturday, March 31. Results from the events can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
