Faulkner Brings Home Two Records from Second Day at UNCW Seahawk Invitational

WILMINGTON, N.C.- The Coker College men's track and field team competed well in the second day at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. on Saturday, March 10. Kace Faulkner brought home new Coker records in the discus and shot put events, while others picked up top-10 finishes. 

Kace Faulkner picked up two more Coker records on Saturday, becoming the new leader for the men's discus and shot put events. In the shot put, Faulkner placed fifth overall with a throw of 40' 11". In the discus, Faulkner threw for a distance of 117' 11", placing 12th overall.

Brandon Campbell tossed alongside Faulkner in both events, throwing for 34' 11.75" (fifth overall) in the shot put and 100' 7" in the discus, placing 15th overall.

Four Cobras took on the men's 400-meter race, as Sage Lilly and Jarell Mumford ran inside the top-10 individually. Lilly ran a 50.42 and Mumford a 50.48 to have the third and fourth best times at Coker. Razzel Kiplaget and Will Mosley rounded out the efforts, placing 15th and 19th in times of 51.31 and 52.13 respectively.

Lilly also took on the 200-meter dash, coming in seventh overall in the time of 22.49.

Coker will next head to Charleston, S.C. to compete in the Charleston Southern University Spring Break Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 16-17. Results from the events can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
