Men's Track and Field has Productive Second Day at the Camel City Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- On the second day of the Camel City Invitational, the Coker College men's track and field team brought home a new record in the shot put event thanks to Kace Faulkner. Richelieu Valery and Tony McElveen Jr. also made their marks up the Coker leaderboards.  

Kace Faulkner now holds the Navy and Gold record for the shot put event after tossing a length of 39' 4.50". This mark surpasses the old record by 2' .50".

Richelieu Valery took on the 60-meter hurdles and crossed the line in 8.60 seconds, good for fourth all-time in Coker history.

Tony McElveen Jr. competed in the 200-meter dash and finished in 23.02 seconds, which puts him fifth all-time in program history.

The Cobras will take on the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships in their next event on Monday Feb. 19, with events taking place at 1:00 p.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C. Results from the event can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
