Coker's Mullins Earns USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Coker College men's track and field team member Brandon Mullins was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region team, the association announced today.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region during the 2016-17 NCAA Division II outdoor track and field season were named to the all-region team. Mullins earned the honor in the 800-meter run, ranking fifth in the southeast region.

Mullins finished the outdoor season with three top-five finishes in the 800-meter run, highlighted by two runner-up showings. His first runner-up came at the Trojan Challenge, with the other coming at the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Championships. Mullins also ran a program-record time at the South Atlantic Conference Championships, running the 800-meter in 1:53.58.

He is a business major from Cincinnati, Ohio and is the son of Karen and Brian Mullins.
