Cobras Collect Four Top Tens at Southside Power & Fitness Invitational

HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker College men's track and field wrapped up competition at the Southside Power & Fitness Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 18). 

In the 100-meter dash, Tony McElveen Jr. tied the school record, running a time of 10.88 seconds to finish in third. McElveen Jr. also posted a solid finish in the 200-meter dash, finishing second with a time of 22.53 seconds.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Tyriek Sampson ran a time of 57.44 seconds to finish in third place. 

In the pole vault, John Smith Jr. cleared 10' 11.75" to finish in fourth place. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Friday and Saturday (Mar. 24-25) for the Weems Baskin Relays.
