Cobras Sit in Eighth After Day One of SAC Track and Field Championship

Jacob Chebii came in fifth in the 10,000-meter run to lead the Coker men's track and field team on day one of the SAC Championships

HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker College men's track and field team is in eighth place after day one of the South Atlantic Conference Championships. As a team, the Cobras scored four points on the opening day.

Jacob Chebii came in fifth place in the men's 10,000-meter, running a time of 33:18.18 in the finals.

In the preliminary heats, the Cobras had qualifiers in the 110-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 800-meter run, 400-meter hurdles, and the 200-meter dash.

The final day of events will begin tomorrow morning (Apr. 16) at 10 a.m.
