HICKORY, N.C.- The Coker University softball team dropped its conference opener to Lenoir-Rhyne yesterday (March 5) by scores of 7-0 and 10-1.
Lenoir-Rhyne would take game one by a score of 7-0.
The Cobras would look to bounce back in game two. In the third inning, Chloe Pelham would knock an RBI double down the left-field line to score Kelsi Gollie, cutting into the Bears lead and bringing the game score to 2-1.
Lenoir-Rhyne would use an offensive explosion in the third and fourth inning, scoring eight runs over the two, taking game two 10-1.
Coker is back in action on Wednesday (March 9) at home when they host Carson-Newman, first pitch is set for 12:00 p.m. with live coverage at www.cokercobras.com
