Cobras Fall to Carson-Newman in SAC Semifinal

SALISBURY, N.C. - The Coker College softball team fell to Carson-Newman 3-1 in the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship on Sunday (Apr. 28).

Offensively, Anna Gluhosky led the Cobras with a pair of hits on the day. Chloe Pelham, Allyson High, Brianna Strickland, Madison King, and Hannah Goodman all recorded one hit each. Isabelle Mullen was hit with the loss after getting the start in the circle, tossing three innings. Mullen allowed a pair of runs on five hits while striking out four batters. Christine Carver pitched a strong 2.1 innings out of the bullpen and Taylor Forehand tossed the final 0.2 inning in the loss. 

The Cobras will now wait until the NCAA selection show on May 6 at 10:00 AM to learn their fate for the NCAA Division II softball tournament.
