HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker College sotball players Taylor Forehand, Isabelle Mullen, and Chloe Pelham were all named to all-conference teams, as announced by the South Atlantic Conference on Thursday (Apr. 25). Forehand and Pelham were both second team selections while Mullen garnered an honorable mention team selection.
Forehand, a senior pitcher, picked up her second postseason all-conference honor after being an honorable mention selection following her sophomore campaign. The New Bern, North Carolina native posted a 7-3 record over 32 appearances in 93.1 innings while also adding a conference-leading six saves. Forehand also finished the regular season second in the conference with an ERA of 2.03 and 11th in strikeouts with 79.
Forehand is a mathematics major is the daughter of Gina and Cliff Forehand.
Pelham, a freshman outfielder, lit up the statsheet in her inaugural campaign with the Cobras as she led the team with a .410 batting average. Her average was good for fourth in the South Atlantic Conference and was the highest mark of all qualifying freshmen in the entire conference. The Goose Creek, South Carolina native also ended the regular season in the top-15 in the conference in hits (50), runs (32), and stolen bases (10). At the plate Pelham recorded 20 RBI, eight doubles, seven walks, three triples, and a pair of home runs.
Pelham is an education major and is the daughter of Jimmy and Tonya Pelham.
Mullen, a freshman pitcher, was lights out in the circle this season as she led the conference with a 1.83 ERA. She impressed over her 23 appearances as she posted a 10-2 record with 84 innings pitched. Her 10 wins and 74 strikeouts both placed her in the top-15 in the conference for the regular season. Mullen has been one of the toughest pitchers in the conference to score off of an did not allow a single earned run over the first 16 innings of the season.
Mullen is the daughter of Stephen and Ashley Mullen.
