Cobras Ignites Offense Versus Valkyries In Double-Header

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker softball team took on the Converse College Valkyries in a non-conference doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The Cobras trounced the visitors, run-ruling them in both games, 15-0 (5) and 9-1 (6).

Maria Williamson finished with six hits, two runs, and five RBI, including a game-ending two-run homerun to wrap up the day. The home run was also Coker's first of the season. Cacey Simmons knocked the first triple of the season in her two RBI effort in game one. Anna Gluhosky and Courtney Boan also batted in three runners each on the day. Madison King made an impact in game two with three RBI.
