Coker Softball Adds Two

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Head Coker Softball Coach Travis McCall announced the signing of transfers Diane Servideo and Brianna Strickland to the 2017-18 roster.

Servideo is a catcher from Naples, Fla., where she attended Gulf Coast High School. On the field, she was a four-year varsity softball letterman and received First Team All-Conference honors during her junior season. Off the field, Servideo was a member of JROTC for three years and won top female presidential fitness award honors three consecutive years. Most recently, Servideo played softball at Indian River State College before transferring to Coker.

"We are excited to add Diane to our team," said Head Softball Coach Travis McCall. "She brings experience and depth to our catchers. She is also very versatile with a high softball IQ."

The communications major is the daughter of  John Servideo, Jessica Servideo, and Scott Holder.

Strickland is a pitcher/infielder from Athens, Ga., where she attended Oconee County High School. Most recently, Strickland played softball for St. Petersburg College where she received Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors.

"We are thrilled to have Brianna as a part of our family," stated Head Softball Coach Travis McCall. "She brings experience in the circle and some pop to the middle of our order as a proven college hitter."

The early childhood education major is the daughter of Andy and Cindy Strickland.

"Both Diane and Brianna will bring athleticism and depth to our team," said Head Softball Coach Travis McCall. "They will make an immediate impact and I'm excited they chose to be Cobras!"
