Coker's Barcomb and Simmons Named to South Atlantic Conference Softball All-Tournament Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker College softball players Tayler Barcomb and Cacey Simmons were named to the South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship All-Tournament Team, the league office announced today.

Barcomb, a senior from St. George, S.C., was the tournament's top offensive performer, leading the way in several offensive categories. She finished the tournament with 26 total bases, 12 hits, 10 RBI, seven runs scored, four home runs and two doubles, all of which led the SAC Tournament. She also finished with a .571 batting average, the second-highest average amongst players that played four or more games.

She is a biology major and is the daughter of Peter and Karen Barcomb.

Simmons, a junior from Dover, Fla., finished the tournament with a .333 batting average. She collected seven total hits, seven RBI, six runs scored and two home runs, all ranking second behind Barcomb. She was an All-SAC honorable mention selection during the regular season.

She is a biology major and is the daughter of Lancia and Curtis Simmons.
