Cobras Drop Two Against Wingate
The Coker softball team fell to Wingate in a pair of SAC matchups.
WINGATE, N.C – The Coker College softball team fell to the Wingate University Bulldogs on Tuesday (Apr. 5) in a pair of South Atlantic Conference road matchups. The Cobras lost game one 6-1, then dropped game two 9-0
In the opening game, Tayler Barcomb led the way, going 1-for-2 with a home run. Riley Morris and Makayla Shore also went 1-for-2, with Morris belting a double.
Tabitha Allen was hit with the loss. She scattered six runs on 15 hits in a complete game effort. She also struck out five batters.
In game two, Maria Williamson, Ashley Gallman, Hannah Price and Rebekah Addison all went 1-for-2, with Williamson picking up a double.
Taylor Forehand was tagged with the loss. She gave up six earned runs on 10 hits in four innings.
The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Apr. 9) when they travel to Carson-Newman University. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
