Trio of Coker Softball Players Named All-Conference

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Three members of the Coker College softball team have been selected as all-conference performers by the South Atlantic Conference, the league office announced today.

Leading the way was third basemen Ashley Gallman, who was tabbed as an All-SAC second-team selection, while second baseman Tayler Barcomb and outfielder Riley Morris were both named to the All-SAC honorable mention team.

Gallman batted .343 this season which was third best on the Navy and Yellow's roster and in the top 25 in the SAC. Her 14 doubles were good enough for fourth in the conference and she compiled a .429 on-base percentage, which was also inside the top 25 in the conference. In the field, she leads the conference with 154 assists and she has a .970 fielding percentage at the hot corner.

A junior from Orangeburg, S.C., Gallman is a business administration major. She is the daughter of Mandy and Chris Gallman.

Barcomb, batted .303 during her sophomore campaign. She knocked in 29 RBIs and belted six home runs, both were second in the Coker lineup, as well as inside the top 20 in the SAC.

Hailing from St. George, S.C., Barcomb is a biology major. She is the daughter of Karen and Peter Barcomb.

Morris, a sophomore, led the Cobras in several offensive categories. She compiled 55 hits, which was tied for a team-high. Her 37 RBIs, 15 doubles, eight home runs, two triples and .658 slugging percentage were all also best on the Coker roster. Morris's batting average, slugging percentage, RBIs, home runs, doubles, hits, and runs scored were all inside the top 15 in the South Atlantic Conference.

Morris is a physical education major with a concentration in exercise science major from Murrells Inlet, S.C. She is the daughter of Christie and Tony Roberts and Stacy and Ryan Morris.
