HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College softball team fell to the visiting Bloomsburg University Huskies on Friday (Mar. 13) in a non-conference doubleheader. The Cobras dropped game one 4-0, then were defeated in game two by a score of 8-0.

In game two, big innings in the second, fifth and seventh innings would give Bloomsburg the eventual 8-0 victory. The Cobras were led by Ashley Gallman and Morris. They each went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Tabitha Allen (8-7) was hit with the loss in game one. She went all seven innings, gave up seven hits and two earned runs, while striking out five batters. Brittany Long (4-2) suffered the lost in game two. She went four innings, gave up two earned runs on four hits.

The Cobras will be back in action on Sunday (Mar. 15) as they open up South Atlantic Conference play against the Carson-Newman University Eagles. Game one is set for a noon start at Saleeby-Stokes softball field.
