Cobras and Crusaders to Square Off in Non-Conference Doubleheader

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College softball team will be back on the diamond on Wednesday (Mar. 4) for a non-conference doubleheader against the visiting North Greenville University Crusaders.  Live stats and broadcast will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are led offensively by sophomore outfielder Riley Morris. Morris leads the team with a .486 batting average, which is third best in the South Atlantic Conference. She also has nine RBIs and three home runs. Senior infielder Ashlee Ellen and freshman infielder Hannah Price also have nine RBIs on the season to go along with .317 and .308 batting averages, respectively. Tabitha Allen's 1.51 ERA is fifth best in the SAC.

The Crusaders come to Hartsville with an even 5-5 overall record.

Game one is set for a 1 p.m. start while game two will start at 3 p.m. The gates of Saleeby-Stokes softball field will open at noon. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and all Coker faculty, staff and students get in free.
