Chebii Paces Cobras at 2018 VertCross Invitational

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – The Coker College men's cross country team traveled to Kernersville, N.C. to compete in the 2018 VertCross Invitational on Friday (Oct. 12).

Jacob Chebii led the way for the navy and gold, finishing with an 8k time of 27:37.69. Brandon Mullins was a close second for Coker, at 27:48.55, while Mahliqe Andrews came in third on the team at 31:10.13. The team finished 13th overall with 387 points, easily beating North Carolina Wesleyan (397), UNCW (431), Claflin (516), William Peace (542), and Patrick Henry Community College (544).

Coker will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they travel to Anderson, S.C. for the South Atlantic Conference Championships.
