Chebii Leads the Way for Coker Men's Cross Country Team at Queens City Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Coker College men's cross country team travelled to Charlotte to compete in their second race of the season at the Queens City Invite.

Jacob Chebii recorded the fourth fastest 8k time in Coker history with a final mark of 26:33. Chebii holds the Coker 8k record with a time of 25:46 which he set in Charlotte in 2015. Brandon Mullins finished second on the team with a personal best time of 27:07. Frederick Scruggs (30:14), Mahliqe Andrews (31:09), and Murishi Irankunda (31:35) rounded out the top five for the Cobras.

Coker will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 6) when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to compete in the Koala Classic Cross Country meet.
