Men's Cross Country to Compete in VertCross Invitational on Friday

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College men's cross country team will compete in the VertCross Invitational held at the Ivey M. Redmond Sports Complex in Kernersville, N.C. on Friday (Oct. 13) afternoon. The men's 8k race is set to begin at 4:45 p.m. 

Jacob Chebii helped lead the Cobras to a fourth place finish overall in the Great American Cross Country Festival (Oct. 7) with a time of 27:06.1 in the 8k. Chebii's time was good for seventh individually.

Brandon Mullins wasn't far behind coming in at the 27:59.7 mark finishing in 13th. Rounding out the top-20, Razzel Kiplaget placed 17th with a time of 28.13.3.

The VertCross Invitational will be an 8k race for the Navy and Gold with the starting gun firing off at 4:45 p.m. from the Ivey M. Redmond Sports Complex in Kernersville, N.C. on Friday (Oct. 13). Results from the race can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
