Cross Country Creating Consistency, Will Compete at Wingate Invitational

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coming off of a great team effort at the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational (Sept. 16) Head Coach Tom Scott is excited to take his squad to Wingate, N.C. to compete in the Wingate Invitational (Sept. 23) beginning at 9 a.m. 

Earlier this season Brandon Mullins placed himself inside the top 10 of the Coker record books for a 5k race with a 16:47 pace, good for ninth all time. Jacob Chebii sits tied for 11th after his performance at the Carolina Challenge (Sept. 2), running a 16:53. The men finished fourth out of nine in the Winthrop/Adidas Invitational.

For the women Darronesia Lott has produced quite the career for the Navy and Gold. With four of the top five records in school history, Lott's latest performance solidified the feat. She'll look to continue her success along with teammates Chauntress Like, Breanna Sullivan, and Emily Pearson.

On Saturday (Sept. 23) the women will run in the 6k and the men in the 10k at the Wingate Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
